What is this service/ course about?
Most people who think they have no green thumb have simply never been told four or five specific things. This is a weekend for exactly those people. A two-day, one-night residential gardening course at Shri Bhuvaneshvari Homestay in Jambrung — forty-five minutes from Karjat station, about three hours from Mumbai. You arrive on Saturday not knowing why the tulsi died. You leave on Sunday with a tray of germinating greens, two rooted cuttings, a written plan for your own balcony, and the ability to work out for yourself what a plant needs. Eight people. Ten at the absolute most. Nobody watches from the back. WHAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO · Read a soil by hand — texture, structure, drainage — with no kit at all. · Build a compost pile that works, and diagnose one that has gone wrong. · Mix your own potting medium for a sixth of what a branded bag costs. · Sow at the right depth and season, and know why beginner sowings fail. · Take cuttings, divide clumps, and match the method to the plant · Manage pests without reaching for a chemical bottle · Keep a month-by-month plan for your own balcony. THE SHAPE OF THE WEEKEND Saturday — soil, compost and the potting bar, a sunset walk along the rice bunds, then seed stories by lantern. Sunday — an early garden hour, the propagation lab, pests and your own season calendar, and a clinic on photographs of your actual balcony. Meals throughout are Maharashtrian, cooked with produce from the property's own garden. ₹7,500 COVERS EVERYTHING One night's stay, every meal from Saturday lunch to Sunday lunch, return taxi transfers from Karjat/Neral station, all tools and materials, your take-home kit, and ninety days of follow-up. Travel to Karjat/Neral is the only thing not included. WHO IT IS FOR Absolute beginners. No prerequisites, no prior knowledge assumed. You should be comfortable on uneven ground for about forty-five minutes at a stretch and happy to get your hands into soil. Children of eight and over are welcome with an adult and are given real jobs. HOW BOOKING WORKS You are holding a seat, not buying one yet. Pay ₹1,000 now, fully refundable. We confirm the date once seven seats are held, tell everyone the same day, and invoice the ₹6,500 balance then. If it does not reach seven, or the confirmed date does not suit you, the ₹1,000 comes straight back. October to February only. Karjat takes some 1,600 mm of rain between June and September, and you cannot read a soil by hand in that.

Cancellation Policy
Holding a seat The ₹1,000 you pay today is a refundable hold, not the course fee. The course fee is ₹7,500 per person, all-inclusive, and the remaining ₹6,500 is invoiced only once the date is confirmed. Confirming the date We confirm a weekend once seven seats are held. Everyone who has pledged is told the same day, and the balance invoice follows. If a weekend does not reach seven, we cancel it and refund every hold in full. Your refund rights · Before the date is confirmed — cancel at any time for a full refund of the ₹1,000, no reason needed. · When the date is confirmed — if it no longer suits you, say so within 72 hours of our confirmation email and the ₹1,000 is returned in full. · After you pay the balance — cancel more than 21 days before the start and you are refunded in full, less the ₹1,000 hold. Between 21 and 7 days, we refund 50% of the balance. Inside 7 days the fee is not refundable, because the food, the seed, the transfers and the staff are already committed. · You may transfer your seat to another person at any time up to 48 hours before the start at no charge. Tell us the name and we will move it. If we cancel If we cancel a confirmed date for any reason — weather, illness, anything — you are refunded in full, including the hold. You will never be offered a credit note instead of your money. Refunds are returned to the card you paid with and normally take five to seven working days.
